Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with company vision and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional pilot programs for next-gen innovations (e.g., AR/VR integration, sustainable tech)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and startups in emerging tech hubs
- Present technology foresight insights to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Champion a culture of innovation through internal hackathons and tech trend symposiums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven impact in emerging tech adoption
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, sustainable tech, or neurotech
- Published research or patents in future-forward technologies (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Experience developing tech roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies or scale-ups
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with focus on future studies
- Certification in technology forecasting (e.g., Tech Futures Academy) or equivalent
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
