Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including quantum-secure communications and neuroadaptive AI
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging academic breakthroughs with commercial applications
- Establish strategic partnerships with global innovation hubs and government technology initiatives
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on paradigm-shifting technologies with 3-5 year adoption windows
- Design ethical frameworks for next-gen autonomous systems and human-machine symbiosis
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Oversee incubation of moonshot projects with $50M+ potential impact
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with proven track record in emerging tech adoption
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier publications
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation 2025+
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics with focus on future technologies
- Proficiency in technology forecasting methodologies including Delphi and scenario planning
- Strong network connections with DARPA, MIT Media Lab, or equivalent institutions
