Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems
- Provide friendly, efficient checkout service while maintaining speed standards
- Handle cash, checks, and electronic payments securely
- Assist with price checks and product location inquiries
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and surrounding zones
- Support inventory management through stock rotation
- Participate in promotional campaigns and merchandising activities
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred
- Strong mathematical aptitude and cash handling skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic computer literacy and POS system familiarity
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
