Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and seasonal specials with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking accurate orders, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, including regular cleaning of espresso machines, grinders, and food prep areas.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
- Assist in food preparation and plating for pastries, bagels, and light lunch items.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations during peak morning and afternoon rushes.
Qualifications
- Previous barista or customer service experience is a plus, but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Attention to detail when following recipes, brewing times, and handling cash.
- Basic math skills for quick and accurate transactions.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift boxes of supplies (up to 25 lbs).
- Eagerness to learn about coffee brewing techniques, flavor profiles, and latte art.
