Responsibilities
- Receive and Process Inventory: Accurately receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure quality and quantity.
- Stock Organization: Efficiently stock shelves and storage areas, ensuring products are facing forward, labeled correctly, and easy to locate.
- Stock Rotation: Monitor stock levels and perform FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the stockroom and sales floor clean, organized, and safe by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris regularly.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move heavy materials.
- Loss Prevention: Adhere to all safety protocols and security measures to prevent theft and ensure a secure environment.
- Reporting: Report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work early morning shifts (typically 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reliability: Strong track record of punctuality and attendance.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and care.
- Communication: Basic ability to read, write, and speak English effectively to communicate with supervisors and team members.
- Experience: Previous experience in stocking, warehousing, or retail is preferred but not required.
- Teamwork: Must be a collaborative team player willing to help where needed.
