Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in Durham neighborhoods, parks, and designated areas
- Provide attentive care during visits including feeding, medication administration, and playtime
- Maintain detailed digital records of pet behavior, health updates, and service logs
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments and grooming sessions using company vehicles
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for handling diverse dog breeds and temperaments
- Participate in monthly team training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with GPS
