Responsibilities
- Exercise & Walk Dogs: Provide safe, fun, and healthy exercise for dogs of all breeds and sizes in local Columbus neighborhoods.
- Feeding & Watering: Ensure pets are well-nourished and hydrated according to their specific dietary needs and schedules.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean environment by cleaning up waste promptly and disposing of it properly.
- Behavior Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the pet's behavior, health, or mood to the pet parent immediately.
- Safety First: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including leash laws and traffic awareness during walks.
- Communication: Send real-time photo updates and text reports to pet parents to keep them connected with their furry companions.
Qualifications
- Love for Animals: A genuine passion for dogs and other pets is essential.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to commit to a regular schedule.
- Experience: Prior experience with dog walking or pet sitting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to walk 2-5 miles per day and handle dogs of various weights.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Valid ID: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Background Check: Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
