Responsibilities
- Walk and exercise dogs of various breeds, sizes, and energy levels safely through local parks and neighborhoods.
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress, illness, or injury during walks and report findings immediately.
- Ensure prompt and thorough cleanup of waste in all areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Administer prescribed medications and supplements to dogs under your care (certification provided).
- Document walk times, distances, and behavioral notes using our digital management system.
- Provide exceptional customer service by updating owners via text or photo updates during walks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a secure environment for pets.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience with dogs is highly preferred, but we offer paid on-the-job training for passionate candidates.
- Must demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to arrive on schedule for every shift.
- Ability to handle energetic or anxious dogs with patience and confidence.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and reference verification.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions throughout the year in New Orleans.
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
