Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash techniques and control methods
- Provide personalized attention, playtime, and exercise tailored to each dog's needs
- Monitor pet health, behavior, and safety during all walks and outings
- Maintain detailed logs of walks, including duration, distance, and observations
- Communicate effectively with pet owners via app updates and photo/video check-ins
- Adhere to strict client protocols for feeding, medication administration, and handling
- Uphold cleanliness standards for equipment, vehicles, and walking areas
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong physical fitness and ability to walk 5+ miles daily in varying weather
- Current pet first/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills and tech proficiency
- Reliable transportation and availability for early morning/evening shifts
- Background check and drug screening required
- Knowledge of dog behavior, breed characteristics, and local Reno ordinances
