Responsibilities
- Brew and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and teas according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and restrooms.
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and provide personalized recommendations.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating product dates.
- Clean and sanitize equipment daily to uphold health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar food and beverage role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso machines, and milk texturing.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-centric attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; barista certification is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory counts.
