Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict adherence to cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area.
- Assist with bagging items and answering basic customer inquiries.
- Monitor for lost items and ensure the accuracy of the cash drawer at the end of shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable transportation and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
