The Opportunity
As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. You will ensure that every shopping experience is seamless, friendly, and efficient. We value accuracy, speed, and a positive attitude above all else.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide professional, friendly service at the checkout counter.
- Process customer transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments, while adhering to all security and cash-handling policies.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries with patience and efficiency.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with shopping bags and supplies.
- Assist with basic stocking duties and inventory organization to ensure product availability.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail technology with speed and accuracy.
- Maintain a neat and presentable appearance in the uniform provided.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and move around the store for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and a positive, can-do attitude.
