Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process sales transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card payments with precision.
- Bag merchandise and ensure customers receive their items properly.
- Monitor the sales floor for inventory needs and assist with restocking as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
