Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store, providing a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently while adhering to all company policies and loss prevention guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing checkout area at all times.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, directions, and general store information.
- Recount cash drawers and prepare daily deposits to ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in customer service is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with absolute accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS technology.
