Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring all balances are correct.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Scan items and bag purchases while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Process returns, exchanges, and gift cards according to company policy.
- Monitor the register drawer to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness when not at the register.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
