Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages (espresso, pour-overs, cold brew) following precise recipes and quality standards
- Engage customers with warm, personalized service while maintaining efficient order processing
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and uphold cleanliness of all equipment and service areas
- Train new team members on beverage preparation and customer service protocols
- Contribute to menu innovation and seasonal promotions
- Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain detailed knowledge of coffee origins, brewing techniques, and product offerings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional barista experience in a high-volume setting
- Expert knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and alternative brewing methods
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality standards
- Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and holidays
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
