Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Expertly prepare and serve a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, pour-overs, and cold brews, adhering to strict quality standards.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service to every guest, ensuring they feel valued and welcome from the moment they walk in.
- Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit, and digital transactions using the POS system and maintain a tidy cash drawer.
- Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment, including sanitizing equipment, restocking supplies, and cleaning seating areas throughout the shift.
- Food Service: Prepare and serve fresh food items (pastries, breakfast sandwiches) and adhere to food safety and health codes.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shift supervisors and fellow baristas to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a barista or in the food and beverage industry is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and basic latte art techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a positive and outgoing attitude.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old to operate coffee equipment.
