Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare specialty coffee drinks using espresso machines and manual brewing techniques
- Deliver exceptional customer service with warm interactions and product knowledge
- Maintain a pristine, organized workspace including espresso machine calibration and inventory rotation
- Collaborate with team members during peak hours to ensure seamless operations
- Process POS transactions accurately while upselling seasonal promotions
- Adhere to strict health and safety protocols for food handling and sanitation
- Support cafe marketing initiatives through social media engagement and local partnerships
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months barista experience or equivalent coffee preparation training
- ServSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic cash handling
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Washington State Food Worker Permit
- Positive attitude with commitment to teamwork and continuous learning
