Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, and specialty beverages using premium beans
- Deliver exceptional customer service with product knowledge and warm hospitality
- Maintain pristine cleanliness of equipment, service areas, and inventory stations
- Collaborate with team on seasonal menu development and daily operations
- Process POS transactions accurately and handle cash management
- Support inventory management and quality control of coffee/supplies
Qualifications
- 1+ years professional barista experience or equivalent coffee expertise
- Deep knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and flavor profiles
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, customer-focused environments
- Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic cash handling and POS system proficiency
- Food Handler's certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for Portland's coffee culture and continuous learning
