As a Barista at The Daily Grind, you are the face of our brand. You will be responsible for brewing the perfect cup, engaging with our community, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back for more.
Responsibilities
- Craft Exceptional Beverages: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and food items according to our strict recipes and standards.
- Customer Experience: Greet every guest with a warm smile, take accurate orders, and ensure total satisfaction during their visit.
- Operational Excellence: Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment with precision and care.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a pristine and organized workspace, including cleaning counters, floors, and equipment to meet health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and supplies; alert management when reordering is needed.
- Team Collaboration: Support fellow team members during peak hours and assist in opening/closing duties as assigned.
- Upselling: Suggestively sell pastries, merchandise, and loyalty program memberships to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic.
- Passion: A genuine love for coffee and a desire to learn about different brewing methods and flavor profiles.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a positive attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and reach shelves comfortably.
