Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and seasonal specials, following strict standard recipes.
- Maintain a pristine, welcoming, and organized workspace, ensuring the café meets our high cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately, answering questions about our products, and building lasting relationships with the local community.
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions and handle payments accurately.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking supplies and monitoring equipment maintenance.
- Upsell products and offer recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
- Clean and sanitize all brewing equipment and food preparation areas in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidates.
- Strong passion for coffee culture and a desire to learn the art of espresso making.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and politely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and recipe scaling.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
