Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies, adhering to quality standards.
- Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and drink orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including wiping down counters, sweeping floors, and sanitizing equipment.
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and troubleshoot minor issues to ensure smooth service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Restock inventory, including milk, syrups, cups, and pastries, throughout the shift.
- Upsell products and suggest new items to customers to enhance their experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food and beverage industry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
