Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare specialty coffee beverages using provided commercial espresso machines
- Operate POS systems and process payments accurately
- Present menu knowledge and recommend coffee pairings to customers
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workspace, and customer areas
- Stock inventory and ensure freshness of coffee beans and ingredients
- Collaborate with team to optimize workflow during peak hours
- Train new staff on equipment protocols and brewing techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional barista experience
- Knowledge of espresso extraction and milk steaming techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle fast-paced environments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation to shift-based work
