Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, tea, and pastries according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting coffee shop environment, including restocking supplies and sanitizing equipment.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide exceptional customer service with a smile.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently, process payments, and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
- Train and mentor new baristas on brewing techniques and customer service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and syrups to ensure stock availability.
- Assist in inventory management and waste control.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience in a coffee shop or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
