Responsibilities
- Brew Excellence: Prepare and serve a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, cold brew, and tea, following standard recipes and quality control procedures.
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and provide recommendations, ensuring a friendly and efficient service experience.
- Operational Support: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, service areas, and dining space to meet health and safety standards.
- Point of Sale (POS): Process transactions accurately using our POS system, handle cash and card payments, and manage petty cash.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastries; assist in restocking supplies as needed.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and plate food items, such as breakfast sandwiches and pastries, ensuring food safety guidelines are followed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and proper milk texturing techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clientele.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Permits: Must possess a valid Food Handler’s Card.
