Responsibilities
- Design and validate fail-safe mechanisms for Level 4 autonomous driving systems
- Develop simulation models to predict edge-case scenarios in complex urban environments
- Lead safety audits and compliance testing for ISO 26262 ASIL-D requirements
- Collaborate with AI teams to enhance perception system redundancy protocols
- Document safety cases and risk assessments for regulatory approval
- Mentor junior engineers on safety-critical development best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in automotive safety systems development
- Expertise in ISO 26262 and SOTIF standards
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and real-time operating systems
- Experience with sensor fusion (LiDAR, radar, camera) validation
- Strong background in machine learning model validation
- Certification in functional safety (ASIL-D) preferred
