Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI frameworks for autonomous systems and predictive algorithms
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments across machine learning models
- Develop governance protocols for AI deployment in regulated industries
- Lead cross-functional working groups on algorithmic transparency initiatives
- Author position papers and industry standards for ethical AI adoption
- Mentor junior researchers in responsible AI methodologies
- Collaborate with legal teams on compliance with emerging AI regulations
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field with 5+ years AI research experience
- Expertise in fairness metrics, bias mitigation techniques, and algorithmic accountability
- Published record in top-tier AI ethics journals (e.g., FAccT, NeurIPS Ethics Workshop)
- Strong programming skills in Python/R with experience in ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Deep understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks)
- Proven ability to translate ethical principles into technical specifications
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in tech or policy environments
