Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends through 2026
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks including scenario planning and trend analysis
- Partner with product teams to translate future insights into actionable R&D priorities
- Author thought leadership publications and executive briefings on technology evolution
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops with cross-functional stakeholders
- Monitor global patent landscapes and academic research for breakthrough indicators
- Establish key performance metrics for future-readiness across business units
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology planning
- Proven track record of developing actionable future scenarios for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in trend analysis methodologies (e.g., Delphi, SWOT, STEEPLE)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling capabilities
- Experience with futures research tools (e.g., Palisade, Trendalyzer)
- Published author in futurism or technology innovation domains
