Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and researchers to develop next-gen prototypes
- Identify emerging tech trends (AI, quantum, biotech) and translate them into market-ready solutions
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation funding through strategic partnerships and venture collaborations
- Establish KPIs for innovation velocity, measuring impact on revenue growth and market disruption
- Present breakthrough concepts to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Foster a culture of experimentation within our Austin Innovation Lab
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology innovation, with 5+ years in executive leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products valued at $50M+
- Expertise in emerging technologies: generative AI, quantum computing, or sustainable tech
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong network with venture capitalists and tech ecosystem builders
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $10M annually
- Published thought leadership in innovation strategy (patents, journals, keynotes)
- Certification in emerging tech (e.g., Quantum Computing, Advanced AI)
