Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 2026 technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum AI and bio-integrated systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams of 15+ engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding through strategic stakeholder alignment and innovation showcases
- Develop patent portfolios targeting 20+ filings in next-gen computing and sustainability tech
- Establish industry partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and academic institutions
- Present breakthrough findings at global tech summits (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Mentor talent pipeline through NextGen's Future Leaders Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics with 8+ years in tech innovation
- Proven track record scaling R&D initiatives from concept to market (min. $3M budget)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) or equivalent industry impact
- Experience leading distributed teams across 3+ time zones with agile methodologies
- Strong portfolio of shipped products or patents disrupting established markets
- Fluency in Python/C++ and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
