Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes on scheduled routes, ensuring they remain safe, healthy, and happy.
- Clean up after pets immediately to maintain hygiene and community standards.
- Provide fresh water and basic first aid if necessary during walks.
- Monitor pets for any signs of illness or behavioral issues and report to the owner immediately.
- Securely close gates and lock doors to ensure pet safety and property security.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies regarding pet handling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with dogs and knowledge of animal behavior is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach various locations in Durham.
- Must be physically able to walk 2+ miles per day and handle dogs of varying sizes.
- A positive, friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide references.
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
