Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care assistance during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Monitor patient vitals and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with daily living activities including mobility and personal hygiene
- Document patient observations accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment following infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Collaborate with night shift nursing team to ensure seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 6 months healthcare or caregiving experience preferred
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English
- Flexibility to work alternating weekends
- Background check and drug screen required
