Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty coffee drinks with precision and artistry
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting
- Manage cash register and POS transactions accurately
- Maintain clean, organized workspace and equipment
- Collaborate with team to ensure smooth weekend operations
- Source and recommend local pastries to complement beverages
- Participate in seasonal menu tastings and training
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year barista experience preferred
- Weekend availability mandatory (Sat/Sun only)
- Knowledge of espresso machines and brewing techniques
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Passion for coffee and customer engagement
- Reliable transportation to downtown Oakland location
