Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move materials.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all labels are correct.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
- Shipment Handling: Load and unload trucks and containers, verifying incoming and outgoing freight against bills of lading.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the warehouse aisles clear, floors clean, and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage during handling and report any discrepancies to the shift supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is available.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Equipment Handling: Basic knowledge of forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus, though training is provided.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret basic shipping documents and safety labels.
