Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and provide friendly, professional assistance throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, exchanges, and gift cards with 100% accuracy.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments while adhering to all security and company policies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations, pricing, and store policies in a polite and solution-oriented manner.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc.).
- Assist with inventory management, including tagging new merchandise and organizing stock rooms.
- Cross-train in other store departments to support the team during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail sales is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with precision.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs safely.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must.
