Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash, card, and digital payments
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering product questions, and resolving issues promptly
- Operate cash registers, manage cash drawers, and balance daily transactions
- Bag items efficiently and offer assistance with carryout services
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at checkout stations and surrounding areas
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management to stock discrepancies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn POS systems quickly
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
