Job Overview
Our restaurant is looking for someone who can thrive under pressure while maintaining a high standard of service. You will work closely with our kitchen and bar staff to ensure every order is perfect.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, providing menus and special information.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen.
- Present meals to guests, ensuring proper plating and timing.
- Check on guests periodically to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns immediately.
- Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash handling with care.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, restrooms, and service stations throughout the shift.
- Upsell specials, appetizers, and beverages to increase the guest experience and revenue.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bartenders to resolve any service delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server, waitress, or in a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant for long periods.
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, Square) is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude during peak hours.
