Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Monitor the checkout area for inventory shortages and assist in restocking shelves as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout environment in compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail sales role is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable transportation is required.
