Responsibilities
- Strategic R&D Leadership: Lead a high-impact research team to develop cutting-edge AI models targeting the 2026 deployment horizon, focusing on scalability and ethical AI.
- Algorithm Architecture: Design and implement novel neural network architectures and reinforcement learning strategies that push the boundaries of current state-of-the-art (SOTA) capabilities.
- Patent & Publication Strategy: Spearhead the publication of high-impact research papers and secure patents for proprietary technologies to establish industry thought leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and business units to translate complex research findings into deployable, production-ready software solutions.
- Talent Development: Mentor junior researchers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the lab.
- Risk Management: Identify potential biases, safety risks, and ethical pitfalls in AI models, ensuring robust governance frameworks are in place.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field from a top-tier university.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in research and development within the machine learning or AI sector, with a proven track record of delivering breakthrough technologies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative adversarial networks (GANs).
- Mathematical Foundation: Strong understanding of linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, and optimization techniques.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead research teams, manage project timelines, and drive technical roadmaps from concept to completion.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
