What You'll Do:
You'll lead our foresight initiatives, identify disruptive trends, and develop innovation roadmaps that position Horizon Labs as a market pioneer. Your insights will directly influence R&D priorities, product development, and long-term corporate strategy. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives, research labs, and global innovation networks to shape our future-proof vision.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts to predict market disruptions
- Develop and publish annual horizon scanning reports and innovation roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into strategic initiatives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Advise executive team on future-proofing strategies and scenario planning
- Represent Horizon Labs at global futurist conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into business strategy
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills for complex concepts
- Experience with horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
