Responsibilities
- Execute seamless event operations across downtown Chicago landmarks including Navy Pier, Millennium Park, and luxury hotel ballrooms
- Manage VIP guest interactions with polished professionalism and proactive problem-solving
- Coordinate vendor relationships and supervise setup/teardown timelines
- Implement crowd control protocols for high-attendance events (200-500 guests)
- Conduct pre-event venue walkthroughs and safety compliance checks
- Train and supervise junior staff during multi-day activations
- Maintain real-time communication via digital event management platforms
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in luxury event staffing or hospitality management
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace under pressure
- Valid Crowd Management Certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in venue management software (Cvent, Eventbrite Pro)
- Flawless professional appearance and exceptional communication skills
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Chicago's event landscape and transportation logistics
