Responsibilities
- Process cash, card, and digital payments with 100% accuracy while maintaining security protocols
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and policies with exceptional patience
- Operate POS systems, scanners, and cash registers efficiently during peak hours
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and report discrepancies to store management
- Uphold merchandise presentation standards while maintaining a clean checkout environment
- Train junior staff on checkout procedures and loss prevention techniques
- Collaborate with inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy at checkout stations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cashier or retail customer service experience
- Proficiency with modern POS systems (Square, Shopify, etc.)
- Exceptional cash handling skills with proven accuracy record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs occasionally
- Strong conflict resolution abilities and positive attitude under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
