Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume, error-free transactions using advanced POS systems while maintaining transaction integrity
- Lead customer service initiatives by resolving complex payment issues and processing returns/exchanges with precision
- Train junior staff on cashier protocols, security procedures, and upselling techniques
- Monitor and reconcile daily cash operations, ensuring 100% audit compliance
- Implement loss prevention measures through transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting
- Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain accurate cash drawer reconciliation
- Represent brand standards through professional appearance and exceptional customer engagement
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of high-volume cashier experience with POS system proficiency
- Proven track record of achieving 99.5% transaction accuracy rate
- Advanced cash handling and reconciliation certification or equivalent experience
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills with documented customer satisfaction scores
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with frequent cash handling movements
- Strong mathematical aptitude with experience in inventory reconciliation
- Basic knowledge of retail loss prevention protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
