Responsibilities
- Define Technical Roadmaps: Lead the strategic planning for AI and robotics integration, specifically aligning deliverables with the 2026 product vision.
- Model Architecture Design: Design and implement complex neural network architectures optimized for edge computing and robotic hardware.
- System Optimization: Oversee the optimization of perception, planning, and control algorithms to ensure real-time performance in dynamic environments.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with software engineering, hardware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of AI models into physical systems.
- Mentorship: Guide a team of junior data scientists and ML engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Research & Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Generative AI and reinforcement learning to apply novel techniques to current challenges.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, and CUDA; extensive experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Robotics Stack: Strong understanding of the Robot Operating System (ROS 2) and simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim).
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve complex algorithmic problems in constrained environments.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
