Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash/credit card payments
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Bag groceries efficiently and assist customers with carryout services
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and surrounding spaces
- Scan and price items while identifying potential price discrepancies
- Assist with inventory management and restock shelves as needed
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and escalate issues to management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous cashier or retail experience strongly desired
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
