Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers warmly, providing exceptional service and product knowledge to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit, and gift cards.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain a clean, safe, and appealing store environment at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the management team to ensure product availability.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and ensuring visual merchandising standards are met.
- Upsell products and services to meet sales targets and enhance the customer's shopping journey.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior retail experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and POS software is preferred.
