Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual reference services via chat, email, and video conferencing
- Manage digital collections including e-books, databases, and archival materials
- Assist patrons with remote account management and technical troubleshooting
- Develop virtual literacy programs and digital literacy workshops
- Curate online resource guides for diverse community needs
- Collaborate with team members on digital outreach initiatives
- Contribute to the library's social media and content strategy
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years experience with library management systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Proficiency in digital platforms: Zoom, Google Workspace, Libby/OverDrive
- Exceptional written communication skills for virtual patron interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with virtual program development and execution
- Valid Michigan driver's license (for occasional on-site visits)
