Responsibilities
- Shelving & Organization: Return books to their correct locations on the shelves and maintain the integrity of the library collection.
- Customer Service: Assist patrons with finding materials, using computers, and navigating library resources.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Process library materials efficiently using our modern library management systems.
- Program Support: Help set up and facilitate children's storytime sessions and adult workshops.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep public areas clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors.
- Reference Assistance: Answer general inquiries regarding library hours, policies, and services.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to arrive on time and maintain a consistent attendance record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry boxes of books weighing up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods.
