Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and check payments with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area to ensure a professional appearance.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register and alert management to stock shortages.
- Assist in restocking shelves and organizing the sales floor as needed.
- Adhere to all company security policies and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
