Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world problem-solving
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum-processor interactions
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE Quantum)
- Secure federal grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA) for quantum research projects
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong analytical skills with complex mathematical modeling expertise
